Getting Started with Luckivo

Luckivo is a Shopify app that adds a gamified spin wheel popup to your store. Collect email subscribers, issue discount codes, and grow your customer list โ€” no code required.

What is Luckivo?

Luckivo adds a customizable spin wheel popup to your Shopify storefront. When visitors land on your store, a popup appears inviting them to spin the wheel for a chance to win a discount. After entering their email and spinning, they receive their reward โ€” and their email is automatically saved to your Shopify Customers list.

Luckivo works entirely within your Shopify admin. The popup is injected into your storefront automatically after you install and activate the app.

Installation

Install Luckivo from the Shopify App Store in under a minute.

Install from the Shopify App Store

Go to the Shopify App Store and search for Luckivo Spin Wheel, or follow the direct install link. Click Add app and approve the permissions.

Start your free trial

You'll be prompted to start a 7-day free trial. No credit card is required. After the trial, billing is $3.99/month via Shopify.

Create and activate your first wheel

Open the Luckivo dashboard in your Shopify admin. Click Create wheel, configure your settings, and set the Wheel Status to Active. Your popup is now live on your store.

Wheel must be Active to appear

A newly created wheel is inactive by default. Go to the wheel settings and toggle Wheel Status to Active before expecting it to show on your storefront.

Creating a Wheel

Each wheel is a separate campaign. You can create multiple wheels to run different promotions at the same time.

Basic Settings

Wheel Name

Internal name for identifying this campaign (e.g. "Classic", "Summer Sale"). Shown in analytics and subscriber reports.

style

Wheel Style

Choose the visual style of the wheel. Options: Classic, and more. Affects colors, segment layout, and overall appearance.

Effect

Animation effect for the wheel spin. Set to Default for the standard spin animation.

open_in_new

Popup Behavior

Controls the interaction flow. Default shows the email form and wheel together in a single popup step.

Wheel Status

Each wheel has an Active / Inactive toggle. Only Active wheels are displayed on your storefront. You can pause a campaign at any time by setting it to Inactive โ€” it won't lose its settings or data.

Display Rules

Control when and where the popup appears on your store.

Trigger Condition

Determines when the popup is triggered. Options include Show immediately (as soon as the page loads) or other time/scroll-based triggers.

Display On

Restrict the popup to specific pages. Set to All pages to show it sitewide, or limit it to the homepage, product pages, etc.

Display on Days

Schedule which days of the week the popup is active. Set to Every day to always show it, or select specific days.

Hide on Mobile Devices

When enabled, the popup will not appear on mobile devices. Useful if you want to limit the experience to desktop shoppers only.

Add Emails to Shopify Customers

When checked, every visitor who submits their email via the wheel is automatically created or updated as a Customer in your Shopify admin. This syncs name, email, and tags.

Customization

Customize the appearance and content of your wheel popup using the live preview panel.

The wheel builder shows a real-time Preview of how the popup looks on mobile and desktop. Switch between Initial (email form + wheel), Result (after spin), Side button, and Countdown tabs to preview each state.

Custom CSS

For advanced styling, Luckivo supports injecting custom CSS. This lets you override fonts, colors, spacing, and animations to match your brand precisely.

Email Notifications โ€” Setup

Send an automated prize email to winners with their discount code.

Navigate to Email Settings in your Luckivo dashboard. Toggle Email Notifications on to enable automated sending.

From Name

The sender name that appears in the recipient's inbox. Example: Luckivo Spin Wheel or your store name.

From Email

The email address emails are sent from. Must be a domain you own and have verified in Resend. Example: hello@yourstore.com.

Email Subject

Subject line of the prize email. Example: ๐ŸŽ Your discount code is here!

Resend domain verification required

Email sending requires a verified sending domain connected via Resend. Create a free account at resend.com, add and verify your domain, then enter your email address in the From Email field. Without this, emails will not be sent.

Email Template

Customize the prize email that winners receive.

The Email Template section lets you customize the email content. Changes are reflected in the live email preview on the right side of the settings panel.

Header Emoji

An emoji shown prominently at the top of the email header. Example: ๐ŸŽก

Title

Bold headline in the email header. Example: You Won!

Subtitle

Supporting text below the title. Example: Congratulations on your lucky spin

Brand Color

Hex color used for the email header gradient and discount code box. Should match your store's brand.

CTA Button Text

Text on the call-to-action button in the email. Example: Shop Now

The email automatically includes the winner's reward name (e.g. 20% OFF) and their discount code in a prominent dashed box. These are pulled from the wheel segment the visitor lands on and cannot be edited directly in the template.

Analytics Dashboard

Track the performance of your spin wheel campaigns.

Key Metrics

Popups Displayed

Total number of times the spin wheel popup was shown to visitors.

Forms Submitted

Number of visitors who entered their email and spun the wheel.

Emails Collected

Total email addresses captured (equals Forms Submitted).

Conversions

Percentage of visitors who saw the popup and completed a spin. Calculated as Forms Submitted รท Popups Displayed.

Daily Activity Chart

The bar chart shows daily Impressions (violet) and Spins (amber) over the selected date range. Use this to spot trends, identify high-traffic days, and measure the impact of changes to your wheel settings.

Wheel Performance Table

A breakdown of each active wheel showing its name, style, and status. Useful when running multiple campaigns simultaneously.

Recent Activity

A live feed of the most recent spins, showing the coupon code issued and when it was won. Helps you confirm the wheel is working correctly in real time.

Subscriber Management

View and manage every email collected through your spin wheel campaigns.

The Subscribers section shows all form submissions. Each row includes the subscriber's Contact (email), the Campaign they spun on, the Reward they won, their Discount Code, and the submission Date.

Search

Filter subscribers by email address using the search bar at the top of the list.

View in Shopify

Click View in Shopify to open the full Shopify Customers list where all subscribers are synced. From there you can segment, tag, and email them.

Stats Row

The top of the Subscribers page shows aggregate stats for the selected period: Emails Collected, Total Popups Displayed, and Total Form Submissions.

Subscribers are synced to Shopify Customers automatically when the "Add emails to Shopify Customers" option is enabled in your wheel's Display Rules. If this is turned off, subscribers are still recorded in Luckivo but not pushed to Shopify.

Troubleshooting

Common issues and how to resolve them.

The popup is not showing on my store

  • Make sure the wheel's Wheel Status is set to Active.
  • Check the Display Rules โ€” the trigger condition, page targets, and day settings may be excluding your current session.
  • If "Hide on mobile" is on, test on a desktop browser.
  • Clear your browser cache or test in an incognito window.

Prize emails are not being sent

  • Ensure Email Notifications is toggled on in Email Settings.
  • Verify your sending domain is set up and verified in Resend.
  • Check that the From Email field contains a valid address from your verified domain.

Subscribers are not appearing in Shopify Customers

  • Confirm that "Add emails to Shopify Customers" is checked in the wheel's Display Rules.
  • Subscribers already in Luckivo before you enabled this setting will not be retroactively synced.

Analytics numbers look incorrect

Analytics are updated in near real-time. If you've just activated a wheel, allow a few minutes for data to appear. Make sure you're viewing the correct date range in the analytics dashboard.
